I be eating them.
I’d never had hot cross buns before tonight. They’re my new favourite tea pairing, I think.
Last month, I fell down on the job: I’d thought I had a post up, only to realise I hadn’t kept up the post I’d written. My birthday (Golden Birthday) was on the 28th. I had a great time with my friends, but the day was over before I knew it.
It’s hard to believe it’s 7 March already. You mean I didn’t just get off the plane? I keep having odd dreams about going back to the States and being upset that I’m not in Scotland anymore; or it seems that this year was the dream, and the dream reality. I had a particularly disturbing dream where a friend apparently died. When I was still waking up, I felt like it had happened. I saw her later that day, but I had a hard time shaking that uneasiness.
I’ve really been enjoying my courses this semester. I’m up to my eyeballs in reading for Irish & Scottish Science Fiction. I love it. It’s nostalgic, like undergrad. Now that I’ve tackled the beast that is Lanark by Alasdair Gray, I think nothing can stand in my way. We’ve gone on to Iain Banks. I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve read so far. Yesterday I finished Walking on Glass; today I (just) began The Bridge. I can’t wait to see where that goes.
